What is Sex Therapy?

What is Sex Therapy?

*Virtual Only during COVID.

Sex therapy is an opportunity to explore any sexual concerns you may have. Sex therapy is talk therapy with no nudity or touching.

Our culture fails to provide us with healthy sexual role models and thorough information. Discussing sex can be embarrassing. My role is to provide you with a confidential, encouraging, and educational space to explore and grow. My goal is to help you function at your self-determined optimal level.

I use an eclectic and customized approach. Each individual is different.

You can either do a short term treatment to fix the physical problem with specific sexual exercises (done in the privacy of your home) or a longer, more transformative approach described further down.

I prefer to see individuals who are result-oriented and who prefer to have caring and satisfying sexual experiences whether short or long term i.e. reduce chaos and get off the roller coaster.

I am sex-positive and welcoming to the LGBTQ community.

Among the conditions I treat are the following:

  • Premature Ejaculation
  • Erectile Dysfunction
  • Lack of Desire
  • Inability to Experience Orgasm
  • Inhibitions about arousal
  • Love addiction
  • Obsessive dating with mostly unhappy results
  • Developing chemistry with a possible partner
  • Sexual Compulsions
  • Difficulties Achieving Sexual Compatibility
  • Just wanting to bring your sexual being to the next level.

A more sophisticated program is available which includes the following:

  1. Addressing the sexual issue bothering you through physical exercises and techniques to build more satisfying sexual responses
  2. Referral to a “dream team” if additional professional input would lead to even better results. This includes a pelvic floor therapist or MD
  3. Exploring and remediating psychological worries, assumptions, and baggage
  4. Learning about what a satisfying sexual and emotional life would look like for you
  5. Learning how to be an empathetic and sexually fulfilling partner, which includes advances sexual techniques and communication styles.
  6. Envisioning the results you would like and setting a path to achieve them.
